Here’s A List Of Authors (& Books) You Should Read (And Learn From) To Improve Your Writing
Sometimes it’s best to write it all out.
In last night’s Writers Chat someone asked me if I had ever put together any lists of resources to help people write better, specifically books and authors not only as examples of good writing in genres but also good how-to texts for developing other writing skills.
After thinking about it, I realized I’ve never pulled all that kind of information into one place, even after years and years of recommending different books and different authors all the time to people. That’s a little embarrassing to admit but it’s something easily remedied.
So, here today for you, I have a pretty lengthy list of books and authors, sorted by genre or by topic, to help you write better.
To make it onto this list, a book has to either be a good example of writing or be a clear and actionable instructional about some element of being a writer or being published.
